John Delmasto, M.D.

Dr. John Delmastro is a forensic pathologist with an impressive and diverse career in both the medical field and academia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh before obtaining his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. After completing his pathology residency in Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Delmastro went on to complete a forensic pathology fellowship at the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His work has included performing autopsies across both Pennsylvania and Ohio, including with Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, providing him with extensive experience in the medical and forensic sciences.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Delmastro has dedicated a significant portion of his career to teaching. He has served as a professor of anatomy, physiology and forensic science at institutions such as Seton Hill University, St. Vincent College, and Westmoreland County Community College. Through his teaching, he has had a profound impact on the next generation of healthcare professionals, sharing his knowledge and passion for the intersection of medicine and forensic science. His students have benefitted from his real-world experience in the field, which he has brought to the classroom to inspire and educate future leaders.
