Mei Jenkins-Andrews, BS

Mei Jenkins-Andrews brings a strong academic foundation and an infectious enthusiasm for forensic pathology to the JHP team. A graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Mei earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Her fascination with the medical and investigative sciences was sparked at a young age through documentaries and series like Dr. G: Medical Examiner and Criminal Minds. That early curiosity evolved into a focused passion after spending the summer of 2024 shadowing Dr. Jennifer Hammers and the JHP team. During that time, she demonstrated an eagerness to learn, a steady hand in the lab, and a genuine interest in the meticulous process of death investigation.

In June 2025, Mei officially joined Jennifer Hammers Pathology as a Lab Assistant. She supports the day-to-day operations of the autopsy suite and helps ensure cases remain on schedule and well-coordinated with both internal staff and external partners. Her blend of academic knowledge, hands-on experience, and commitment to learning make her an invaluable asset to the team.

A native of Westmoreland County and graduate of Hempfield Area High School, Mei values connection and balance outside of work. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two beloved cats. In her free time, she can often be found reading novels, watching movies, exploring music, and planning her next travel adventure.
